doing a little dabbling in grid art - originally was just seeding a normal themeless with this guy but after a few failed grid shapes i decided to just start drawing :). the bonus theme-y entry in 16A was a total lucky find in filling, but once i saw it, i knew this puzzle could not exist without it. 15D has gotta be one of my favorite clues i've written in recent memory, it's truly the perfect mix of contrived silliness and actually impressive wordplay.
