Themeless 7 got me raring to submit stuff places so we have a bit of a gap in the numbering now (themeless 8 will be in Apple News+ on 11/20/25 and themeless 9 is still in NYT purgatory as I write this). When I think of a grid spanner like 35A for a thing I like that has no chance in the mainstream though, the puzzle's gotta get made.
