big fan of this grid - it started as an attempt to use a 9-letter seed that i've been trying to get in a grid for a while now, but i had to kill that darling because the double-triple of nines in the mid really called out to me and instead start with yet another Benny Feldman fill-in-the-blank. they will not be stopping any time soon in my crosswords, so just strap in and ride out this phase of mine LMAO

rare actual bloggy post on my "blog":

wow it's been a whole month since i've put out a full-size. this is partially because i've been working on alot of stuff that i'm not just putting straight on the blog, including some collabs with people i'm huge fans of! (on that note, if you ever want to hop in a discord call and make a themeless grid literally just dm me i'm always down.)

but also, i've actually been putting a ton of time into a brand new game for the first time in a while! my crossword phase hitting me like a truck (seriously how was i ever putting out grids every three days) definitely siphoned alot of time away from making video games but i'm starting to find more of a balance where i'm working on both. i don't think i'll ever be a proper devblogger but a brief update and a screenshot or two: i'm making a party game that's like Ultimate Chicken Horse, but it's golf and also a FALLING SAND GAME (15)! players race to complete a hole of golf, then race to pick substances to draw on the hole with and turn it into a totally new challenge of their own creation every round!

it's already by far the most impressive thing i've ever made on the tech side, between a falling sand simulator, marching squares for the physics collisions, one (1) whole shader, and vaguely functional ROLLBACK NETCODE (15) for the multiplayer, and i'm super proud of it. it's an idea that i've been enamored with and noodling on for at least four years now (see snad from college) and i'm actually so shocked it's made it so far. now i just have to make it fun :)

hope you enjoy the crossword!
